SEB, a prominent financial services group based in northern Europe, recently underwent a transformative relocation from 245 Park Ave to a section of the 28th floor of The Spirals in Hudson Yards, located at 66 Hudson Boulevard East, New York, NY. Founded in 1856, this leading international organization has provided world-class services to customers all around the world, now focusing on sustainability efforts while providing advice on innovative ways to invest and access capital.

Collaborating with Fogarty Finger Architecture and JRM Construction Management, SEB opted for two of our ZONA 2 single glazed glass wall systems to help delineate various spaces within their main common area, including the lobby, kitchen area, conference room, and other small meeting rooms.

ZONA 2 effectively partitioned the conference room from the common area, maintaining privacy while allowing ample natural light to filter through, enhancing the space’s ambiance and overall design appeal. In fact, one of the glass systems intersects with a Modernfold Acousti-Seal Single Panel partition to enable the conference room to be split into two separate areas if needed.

Amidst the iconic skyline of New York City’s financial district, a Global Financial Firm envisioned a transformation for its 52nd-floor workspace in Downtown Manhattan. The goal was clear: to craft an environment that was visually captivating, blending transparency with architectural finesse, while offering panoramic views of the World Trade Center. To achieve this vision, the firm collaborated with ZONA Glass Wall Systems, Huntsman Architectural Group, and contractor, Structure Tone, Inc. Our ZONA 1 single glazed fixed glass paired with a ZONA 2 door was selected for its ability to deliver elegance and practicality, for an uninterrupted visual connection, making the spaces appear larger and more interconnected.

Installed in the libraries, conference room, and employee lounge, ZONA brought a sense of fluidity and openness to ensure that while the transformation of each individual area remained distinct, it also felt part of a cohesive whole. The single-glazed system, finished in a contemporary black powder coat, harmoniously blended with the office’s overall design palette. With an impressive height of 8′-6″, ZONA’s glass partitions added to the feeling of spaciousness.

With ½” ribbed tempered glass, the conference room offered sleek privacy, while the breathtaking views of Manhattan remained an integral part of the office experience. The glass added a distinctive textural element, enhancing visual privacy. It is also known for its superior strength, safety features and is approximately four times stronger than regular glass.

Shifting Gears in Design – ZONA Revamps Mitsubishi HC Capitol of America’s Conference Room
Mitsubishi HC Capitol of America in Minnesota sought to integrate sophisticated design with practicality in remodeling their conference room. Their specific objective was to create a modern, dynamic space that embraced innovation while prioritizing sound privacy and versatility. To fulfill this unique requirement, they turned to ZONA Glass Wall Systems, renowned for our blend of sleek profiles and functionality, and W. L. Hall Co., a well-known ZONA distributor.
W. L. Hall Co.’s role was crucial in bringing this design vision to life. Their team of skilled professionals took charge of the installation process, ensuring our products were set up correctly and efficiently, demonstrating their technical expertise and attention to detail. The ZONA model chosen for this project was LYNX TELESCOPIC™.
The architectural design deployed an intriguing “L” configuration which involved two ZONA wall units intersecting at a right angle, creating a room that was distinctive and versatile.
The units incorporated five panels measuring 16′-10″ × 8′-0″, and another, slightly smaller one, consisting of four panels and measuring 11′-7″ × 8′-0″. Our system was track shipped, allowing for other aspects of the room’s refurbishment, such as the painting and finishing of the ceilings, to be completed on time.

One of the standout features of ZONA Glass Wall Systems is its good acoustic performance, which was demonstrated in the achievement of a 35 STC to 38 STC sound rating for this project. It guaranteed that the newly designed conference room offered privacy, an important aspect of Mitsubishi’s business operations. This feature meant that conversations within the room remained confidential, creating an environment conducive to effective communication and in-depth discussions.

The pop-off access at the top of the panel provided easy access to the trolley stem for simple adjustments, reducing installation time and complexity. Additionally, the concealed foot bolts in the panel edges ensured that clean, visual harmony was maintained, avoiding any unsightly hardware on show.

We procure our glass from General Glass International (GGI) and Bendheim, two renowned glass fabricators and suppliers known for their high-quality glass solutions. Once raw glass arrives at our state-of-the-art facility, it is then carefully crafted into our frames and architectural products by our highly skilled technicians.

Integral to the transformation of Viam Robotics’ office space was the incorporation of ZONA Glass Wall Systems, with the collaborative efforts of Plan Architecture, LLC., and Archstone Builders LLC which included both single and double-glazed partition options. The office underwent the installation of a total of 35 office fronts, featuring a mix of ZONA 1 and ZONA 4 panels, creating a unique and attractive workspace in the modern age of technology.

Blending traditional architecture with very modern touches (for instance graffiti-inspired murals) were one of the aspects our team found unique in the space. ZONA’s simple, modern aesthetic fits seamlessly into other industrial inspired design touches, so the system installed ended up blending beautifully in the office and intentional contrast of traditional and modern.

For CosciaMoos Architecture, we produced a ZONA 1 (fixed panel) system, with a sliding door single-glazed partition with 7/16″ McGrory fixed glass with special fluted pattern and ½” low iron tempered glass doors.

The new installed Telescopic Bi-Parting System in this space is 29 ft long consisting of two fixed 9ft high panels, and six bi-parting moving panels. The client decided on a Black frame finish to keep the design simple and chic.

When the panels are open, they slide back into the fixed glass panels on either side of the ZONA Glass Wall System. With the two lead panels operating as sliding doors, we eliminate the need for swing doors, allowing for a more usable floor plan. The track was recessed into the header to keep a sophisticated look for the conference room.
This versatility makes the Telescopic Bi-Parting System perfect for offices that need to be able to separate a large space into two sections, when needed.
60” Non-Locking Ladder Pull Handle is incorporated in design with a Matte Black finish. The glass panels are able to slide smoothly and silently, and also increase natural light throughout the office space. The beautiful Waterway, surrounding landscape and scenic view can be seen from any part of the room.
